Multicore Cable Assemblies
Multicore cables are constructed by bundling two or more insulated conductors into a single integrated cable structure. Customized to meet specific requirements, multicore cable assemblies support a wide range of applications, including audio, video, data, control, and power transmission.
Multicore cable assemblies are especially suitable for space-constrained applications because they simplify system setup and create cleaner, more organized connections between electronic devices.
SAISONIC processes multicore cables using automated cutting and stripping equipment, supported by accurate wire-end processing capabilities. Terminal processing can be completed through crimping or soldering, with semi-automatic crimping machines available for different connector and terminal requirements.
Multicore cables use multiple insulated conductors under a single jacket to provide compact and organized electrical or signal transmission.
- Conductors: Stranded or solid annealed copper, Class 2 / 5 / 6, depending on flexibility requirements
- Number of cores: 2 to 50+ cores, with color coding available for identification
- Insulation/jacket: PVC, such as Type 2 / ST1, or XLPE, such as X-90
- Shielding: Optional overall screen, such as tinned copper braid or aluminum tape, to help reduce electromagnetic interference
- Voltage rating: 250V for miniature designs; 440V or 600 / 1000V for power and industrial applications
- Temperature rating: Configured according to the selected insulation and jacket material
- Process control systems for signal transmission in factories

- Industrial automation, including YY, SY, and CY control cable applications
